How it works
Home & house moving, done properly.
A house move is mostly planning. How many rooms, how many stairs, how far the truck parks from the door, and what has to go upstairs at the new place decide how long the day takes. Our booking flow asks about all of it up front, so the crew and the price fit your house instead of a guess.
On move day your crew lays floor runners, pads and wraps the furniture, and loads the truck tight so nothing shifts on the drive. At the other end, everything goes to the room you point to. You supervise; we carry.

Picking the right crew size
Each extra mover adds $30 an hour but shortens the day, so a bigger crew often costs about the same and gets you settled sooner. The booking flow suggests a crew for your home size, and you can change it and watch the total move.
- 2 movers: studios to two bedrooms
- 3 movers: two to three bedrooms, or any move with stairs
- 4 movers: four bedrooms and up
- 5 movers: big homes on a tight schedule
What makes a house move take longer
Tell us about these when you book. Stairs and packing change your estimate right away, and anything unusual gets planned by your move lead before the day.
- Stairs at either address, especially a second story at the new house
- A long walk from the front door to where the truck can park
- Packing that isn't finished when the crew arrives
- Pianos, safes and other heavy items (priced separately)
- A second stop, such as a storage unit
Four bedrooms and up
Bigger homes often need two trucks or two trips, so we confirm four- and five-bedroom moves personally instead of leaving them to the calculator. You still see a ballpark online, and your move lead follows up with the plan, the crew and the price.
Getting the house ready
A few things done ahead keep the crew moving and the clock down. Our moving checklist has the full timeline from eight weeks out.
- Save a parking spot close to the door for the truck
- Empty, defrost and unplug the fridge the night before
- Label boxes by room so they land in the right place
- Set aside anything that isn't coming, so we skip it
- Keep valuables, medication and documents with you

FAQ
Questions about home moves.
Straight answers to what people ask us most. Still wondering about something?
Call (210) 953-6399How much do house movers cost in San Antonio?
Two movers and a truck are $165 an hour, each extra mover adds $30, and every move has a 3-hour minimum. The table above shows typical totals by home size. Your instant price adjusts for stairs, packing and crew size.
Do I need to be home during the move?
You, or an adult you authorize, need to be there at the start and at the end. In between, you're welcome to run errands, though most people like to stay and point out where things go.
What if something is damaged during my house move?
We pad and wrap furniture and protect floors on every move. If something is damaged in our care, we work with you to make it right. Our Terms of Service explain the protection that applies by default and how to make a claim.
Can you move just a few rooms or a few big pieces?
Yes. Choose a partial move in the booking flow. The 3-hour minimum applies, so it's worth adding anything else that needs moving that day.
Is there a travel fee?
Not for pickups inside San Antonio city limits. Pickups in nearby cities pay one flat $35, charged once. See every area we serve.
