How it works
Packing services, done properly.
Packing takes longer than almost anyone plans for. A kitchen alone can fill an afternoon, and the last few rooms always get packed in a rush the night before. That rush is when things break.
Our crew packs room by room, wraps fragile pieces, and marks every box with the room it belongs in, so unloading is quick and unpacking makes sense. Hand us the whole house, or just the hard parts.
A few rooms or full packing
A few rooms covers the slowest parts of a house: usually the kitchen, dishes and glassware, closets, books and anything fragile. You pack the rest. Full packing means we pack everything except what travels with you.
In the booking flow, choose no packing, a few rooms, or full packing, and the estimate adds the time right away.
Packing on its own
Booking packing a day or two before the move keeps move day short and lets you check that everything is ready. Choose Packing only in the booking flow. It uses the same hourly rate and 3-hour minimum as any move.
What we don't pack or carry
For safety and liability, a few things stay with you or stay behind:
- Cash, jewelry, medication, important documents and keys travel with you
- Fuel, propane, paint, chemicals and ammunition can't go on the truck
- Anything illegal, obviously
Getting ready for packers
A little prep makes packing faster, which keeps the bill down.
- Set aside everything going in your car before the crew arrives
- Point out anything fragile, valuable or sentimental
- Put anything that isn't coming in one room or tag it clearly
- Leave the kitchen clear of dishes in the sink
Pricing
Hourly, and upfront.
Packing is billed by the hour like moving, with the same 3-hour minimum. Boxes and packing materials are priced separately and confirmed with you before move day. Typical totals for San Antonio homes:

Packing materials aren't part of the hourly rate. Anything you need is priced separately and confirmed with your move lead before move day, so mention it when you book.
Can you pack just the kitchen?
Yes. That's what the "a few rooms" option is for. Most people hand us the kitchen, glassware and closets and pack the easy rooms themselves.
Does it matter who packed a box if something breaks?
It can. Our terms don't cover items you packed yourself when the box shows no outside damage. Having us pack the fragile rooms avoids that gap. The details are in our Terms of Service.
How far ahead should I book packing?
Book it with your move, two to four weeks out if you can. Packing-only jobs usually land a day or two before move day so everything is ready when the truck arrives.
