How it works

Piano, safe & heavy item moving, done properly.

Heavy items are where moves go wrong: a piano tipped on a stair landing, a safe that won't clear a door frame, a pool table slate that cracks because nobody supported it. The fix is planning, not muscle.

When you add a specialty item to your booking, your move lead reviews it before move day: what it is, roughly what it weighs, the stairs and turns at both ends, and the equipment and crew it needs. Then you get one confirmed price for the item, alongside your hourly move.

Items we review

We accept specialty items case by case. If something needs equipment or experience we don't have, we'll tell you before move day, not on it.

  • Pianos
  • Safes, including gun safes
  • Pool tables
  • Large appliances
  • Artwork, mirrors and antiques
  • Anything else unusually heavy or fragile

What we need from you

The more we know before the day, the fewer surprises on it:

  • What the item is, with the make and model if you know it
  • Photos of the item and the path out: stairs, turns, doorways and the front step
  • Where it's going at the new place, and the path in
  • For safes: the approximate weight, and whether it's bolted down

Pianos after the move

Even a careful move can knock a piano out of tune, and a change of room, humidity and temperature does the rest. Most tuners suggest letting a piano settle into its new spot for a couple of weeks before tuning.

Pricing

Reviewed first, priced once.

Specialty items aren't part of the instant estimate. Each one is reviewed and priced on its own, then confirmed with you before move day. The rest of your move stays on the normal hourly rate of $165 for two movers and a truck.

FAQ

Questions about pianos & specialty items.

How much does it cost to move a piano in San Antonio?

It depends on the piano and the access at both ends: stairs, tight turns and how far it travels from the door to the truck. Add it to your booking and your move lead will review it and confirm the price before move day.

Can you move just a piano, without a full move?

Yes. Choose a partial move in the booking flow and add the piano as a specialty item. Your move lead reviews it and confirms the total before move day.

Do you move gun safes?

Yes, case by case. Tell us the approximate weight, whether it's bolted down, and the route out. Please empty it before move day: our terms don't allow us to carry ammunition, and the contents add weight.

Can you move a pool table?

Yes, after review. Tables with slate tops are very heavy and need careful handling. Tell us the size and model if you know them, and your move lead will confirm what's involved.
